Carnival Cruise to Ensenada
|
The weather was on the cool side as we sailed to Avalon and Ensenada . The food was
fantastic, the casino was very busy, the shows were just awesome. Jess and Ephram spent
some time getting worked over up in the spa. Mark could not get over the unlimited chocolate ice
cream. Don fell in love with the show girls. Everyone wants to do this again.

Miami - San Juan - St. Thomas - St. Maarten
|
Although we have been to San Diego many times this was our first visit to the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. We will be back again. The show was very impressive. Next year we are adding a tour of the Midway, the US Navy aircraft carrier docked very near the Star of India in downtown San Diego. Because there is so much to see we will add another day to this tour at the request of all our members who went on this one. You will have to sign up early. Everyone who went this year is going back again.

Day Tripping Excursion to Long Beach
|
We rode the red and blue
line down to Long Beach
from the very hot San
Fernando Valley where we
boarded the Catamaran
Christopher for a 3 hour
harbor cruise. We saw a
lot of Dolphins. After lunch
at Shoreline Village we
headed home. It was a
very cool way to spend the
day.
We stayed at the Excalibur Hotel and saw the Tournament of Kings dinner show. Everyone loved the pool with the water slide. Then it was gambling at the New York, New York and Monte Carlo! We rode the monorail to the Bellagio and saw the beautiful fountain and then ended up at the Rio. What a party going on there. We ended up on top of the Rio in the Voodoo Lounge overlooking the strip.

Carnival Cruise to Ensenada
|
We had a blast on this one. The weather was just beautiful on the way down to Ensenada. On board the Paradise the service was first class. So was the food and the entertainment. Joe loved the Casino, Kevin loved all the cute girls by the pool and Andrew went nuts over the food. We all loved the shows in the huge theater. Every night there was something different going on.
|
Everyone enjoyed the day trip down to Hollywood in April. We saw the movie Sahara at the Chinese Theater. We ran into all sorts of characters on the Blvd. We even found Beetle Juice wandering around. Several of our members had never been on a subway before so that was something a little different. A big thank you to our volunteers Diane Soyka and Greg Urich.

Carnival Cruise to the Mexican Riviera
|
We traveled way south on this one. Way down to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and beautiful Cabo
San Lucas. The Carnival Pride is a beautiful ship sailing out of Long Beach, California. We had
the most incredible waiter by the name of Amos (Famous Amos) who kept us throughly
entertained each evening. The food was just great and everyone enjoyed all the big shows.
Danny danced every night (no curfew for our gang). He had a the most fantastic time dancing
with the other passengers in the night club (lots of very cute girls!) and at the late night deck
party. What a blast!

Cameron and Neil supervised a group of our members on the new Carnival Splendor sailing down the west coast of Mexico to Puerto Vallarta then back up to Mazatlan and beautiful Cabo. The weather was beautiful and we all had a wonderful time.
